I would like to inform you about a recent change in GNUstep-base that
officially removed support for Windows versions older than Vista.
We have raised the minimum target for the MinGW port to Windows Vista.

There are a variety of reasons for this:
1. Many Windows APIs were introduced in Windows Vista, and raising the WINVER
reduces the burden of writing compatibility code and workarounds.
2. Windows XP reached its end of life on April 8, 2014.
3. There is no easy access to ancient Windows machines for development.
