Hi,

Hello,

Testing a simple case with StepSync, I found the following issue:

What version are you using? release? current svn?
It scares me, I trust StepSync quite a bit nowadays and I synchronize half a terabyte of precious data with ease.

Current SVN head is close to release actually, so if there is a bug, high alert. I consider it stable.

How to reproduce:

3) Now, edit and modify the content of ficC.txt
Enable option '[x] Update Source' in StepSync
Sync again:
The file ficC.txt should be updated in SRC hierarchy, but:

do you edit the content in source or target?

patrick@pi400:~/SOURCES $ tree SRC
SRC
└── A
     ├── B
     │   ├── C
     │   └── ficB.txt
     └── ficA.txt

It has been deleted: so not the action expected.

No, this is extremely unexpected - given the sensitivity, StepSync is programmed to delete *only* missing things. So essentially if you do not flag "Delete items" it shouldn't delete anything. Update Source instead means to mirror things from target to source, otherwise actions are performed exclusively on target.

Did you inspect the output in the log? what does it say about ficC.txt?

Riccardo
