The only difference I noted was the color of the badge: yellow with
the tarball version and red with the svn one. But the count of unread
message is fixed now, that matters.
I made a change to the logic to update the count in the icon when the
count
decreased as well as when it increases, in particular when it drops
to zero.
I also changed the code for manually marking messages as read/unread
to
update the icon immediately.
I confirm also this is working as axpected.
