What we need from OpenSRS:
==========================

* A notice explaining what plans are in place, forcasted timelines which
aren't yet official, for implementation of .CA domains (Specifically
re-registration, if nothing else)

* Recommendation to current RSPs on what they should do in the meantime for
re-registration of .CA domain names between now, and when OpenSRS is ready

* Please note: It is not acceptable to leave RSPs in suspense and say
OpenSRS working on it. Is it recommended that we start re-registering
through www.webnames.ca and www.internic.ca right now?

Now that CIRA has generously sent out thousands of e-mails to all .CA
holders, and pages like this say all .CA domains will be lost "unless"
certain procedures are followed:

http://www.webnames.ca/rereg_stepa.shtml

"ALL .CA domain name holders, who registered domain names prior to November
2000, registered with CDNnet (the UBC Registry). To be recognized by CIRA,
you must re-register your domain name with them. Those who do not
re-register their domain registration will lose their domain."

----

Our customers are calling with many queries after the CIRA e-mail, and
we're not sure how to respond, since OpenSRS hasn't really told us in any
detail what is happening between now and September 18th.
