OK, a friend of mine had setup web hosting with a provider who also provides
his domain registration and domain hosting.
That provider has had some technical problems recently, and my friend's site
has been down for a couple of weeks. This provider has become incredibly unresponsive
and unsurprisingly, my friend wants out.
His wife is in whois as the admin and billing contact, but the provider is
tech contact. He tried to transfer the domain and the tech-contact ignored the
e-mail.
The domain is currently registered through network solutions. Is there any
way to pull the domain from under the tech-contact's feet? I thought there
was a way for the admin/billing contact to make changes to the domain, but I
can't find the necessary form on the "new improved" networksolutions website.
