I'm having a problem which others may experience so I'm bringing it to the
attention of the discussion group. Sorry if people think it's off topic for
OpenSRS but it IS a list question.
Are you aware that an Arabic Text Display Support box pops up from time to
time when people access your email messages? That's fine for people with
Arabic but I really have a a problem keeping that box under control. It
jumps out at me anytime, comes back again when I hit the cancel button and
hangs around in the background when I don't know it's there (and stops me
from deleting emails). It's causing me to just delete your emails with even
reading them.
I've had some annoying incidents with Arabic software before. I don't know
whether it's Arabic Windows or software conversion or just the data. For
example, in one case, I had an spreadsheet set up on a Arabic version of
Excel and although the data was supposed to be in English, all the dates
were corrupted. As well, data often seems to get displayed right to left in
Arabic-style.
I have a lot to do with the Arabic community and have been told many similar
stories by others with software designed to take account of Arabic-style
text.
Do others have a problem? And can we fix it?
