There's no "list".

Good job Josh! No speculation or assumption - just the facts ma'am!

The latest decisions on the addition of new gTLD's to root zone were made in
Yokohama on the 16th of July, the results of which are published here:

http://www.icann.org/minutes/prelim-report-16jul00.htm

In short, it has been resolved that:

1) A policy to implement the new gTLD's will be established.
2) The policy will follow this schedule:
        - 1 August 2000 - Call for proposals for new gTLD's
        - 1 October 2000 - Deadline for receipt of applications/proposals.
        - 15 October 2000 - Close of period for public comments on proposals.
        - 20 November 2000 - Negotiations with sponsors and operators.
        - 31 December 2000 - Completion of negotiations.
3) The fee for an application will be $50,000, non-refundable.
4) The applications include all the necessary information.
5) That ICANN will set out guidelines for requirements.

Which means that it will be October-ish before we know what *possible* gTLD's
will be added to the root zone. There are some proposals in already, but that
means nothing - most of them were just hacked together, and will have to be
resubmitted. It will be December before any final decisions are made.

Read the details on the ICANN website. As an affiliate of a registry, the ICANN
website should be required reading anyway.
