I apologize for the lateness in my reply, I did some ground work to find
out the answer to this question.
We have a field in the database associated with each domain that keeps
track of the "sync_time" with the root registry. This is to allow us to
pick up changes to ccTLD nameserver host alterations, and transfers to and
from our system. Occasionally a system wide update is run - which
reflects in the "sync_time", and you see a "Record last update on"
alteration.
What we will do (to fix this problem) is add another field (update_time)
that is independent of the syncs we do with the root registry. This will
correct this difficulty.
Due to a current code freeze for an upcoming release, the timeline for
this is not apparent. Rest assured that this is on the list of fixes and
enhancements and will be dealt with accordingly.
