It is extremely difficult to get anything done through register.com. We
have problems getting nameservers changed every time we sign on a new
client that registered their domain name through them. Generally takes
1-2 weeks and several requests to get them to make the changes.

Don't know if it is growing pains for them or the fact that they have
recently started offering a hosting service of their own, but the
problems with getting nameserver modifications started about the same
time they started to offer a hosting connection.
