I'm not articulating what I would like to have happen, but the actions that
I know are available to us as resellers. Technically, I believe we're not
considered "resellers", but rather "Registration Service Providers", so the
legal argument that you've "RESOLD" the rights isn't quite so clear.

I think you can make an argument that such functionality would be of value,
but from OpenSRS's perspective, I'd be very concerned about implementing it,
for (what I think are) obvious reasons related to liability.

As far as that goes, I'm sure I don't want any of the domain names that have
had payment defaults, anyway...they've all been crappy names with no
particular value. It's not as if somebody bought "business.com" and
defaulted on payment. :)

I'd disagree. We're a reseller. By definition, we buy the domain
(transfer of ownership) and then transfer that ownership elsewhere in
exchange for consideration (cash). In the event of that consideration
being found invalid (credit-card-fraud, etc.) then the reseller, by
definition, holds the complete set of rights to the domain that would
have been transferred to the prospective owner. We HAVE to, or we
could never have RESOLD those rights to them.

Thus, there needs to be a means for an RSP to say "I am retaking
control of this domain for this reason: ___________" and have it
happen.
