Will this be optional? As quite often we offer a domain registration as
part of a web hosting package ie we would invoice them for the whole package
and pay the domain registration part of it ourselves - the customer then
just gets an invoice from us for the renewal of the package.

Seriously, we are working throught the specifics as we speak. My general
understanding is that our system will send out messages from you to your
clients requesting that they renew their registration at a URL you
specify. These messages will go out regularly prior to the expiry of the
domain. We haven't nailed down specifically how grace periods will work
etc., but financially I expect renewals to be charged out at the sames
rates as new registrations and in the same manner.
