I am trying to gleen additional data from the reg_system submission
process, and have the results of those custom fields sent to $ADMIN_EMAIL
upon end user submission. I've been through the earlier posts, and have had
no luck. For example, i want to have an account # ($acct_num) field in place
of, or in addition to the $p_cc_num, and have that data returned as another
means of billing a current customer as well as an additional tracking method
against our billing system. Obviously, I'm not well enough versed in Perl /
CGI as this seemingly simple task is handing me my proverbial @$$ :) ....is
there any suggestion for getting input of a custom field to output into the
subject header or body of the e-mail sent to ADMIN? Modification of the
templates/reg_system/messages.txt and reg_system.cgi as per prior
discuss-list posts results in a series of errors in my error log as:
"Global symbol "$acct_num" requires explicit package name at
/path/to/cgi/reg_system.cgi line XXX."<--- (It's starting to read more and
more like "you are a moron.")
If there is a "little g" god of OpenSRS code out there, I humbly request
your advice. :)
