Greetings,
Found the following site that might be of interest to some:
http://www.regland.com/
They are taking reservations for new TLD's - They're charging a $20
non-refundable fee for the reservation - and then another $20 IF it
succeeds. Dodgy, yes?
Those sort of tactics aside... when (if?) the new TLD's are finally
made available, will OpenSRS code be able to start registering them
immediately? I don't want to miss the initial rush (assuming there
is one).
Also - is there a way we (or our clients) can position ourselves to
get a specific domain name under a new TLD when the time is right -
ie, is there a way we can start reserving them beforehand? Perhaps
we need a central db to place reservations - to decrease chances of
double-reserving (still no guarantee it'll succeed though).
And while I'm on the topic... any idea when they will be available?
Regards,
Kirk Fletcher
