I can address this...
First of all, let me state that we are _painfully aware_ of the
inefficiencies of our current payment remittance model. I would like to
apologize for the "days" of man hours we have all lost by not having this
process automated.
When faced with the choice of offering further namespace (or whatever other
features), or automated payment processing, the other features have won out
to date.
Some data points on why it has not been a _urgent_ priority to date:
- many of our RSPs payments are for LARGE amounts that are best backed up
with a signature, or that an online system would require manual approval
for anyway
- RSP's can prepay larger amounts to reduce the admin overhead - OSRS is a
B2B service, not intended offer consumer-like payment terms
In general, we suffer as much or more on manual processing, as we have to
have admin staff to do the work. We do process payments seven days a week,
and have for months.
I can tell you that this will be coming soon (~20-40 days). I should be
able to give a more specific date early next week.
Thanks for your patience, and feedback.
Regards,
sA
