Pardon me be for being somewhat dense, but why did we ever allow ourselves
to be governed by such a screwed up bunch of fascists like ICANN?
When I first got involved in the internet nearly 20 years ago it was
thought of as the last great frontier for freedom. Now we have a bunch of
idiots deciding who can own a domain name and controlling the namespace.
All it takes to create a new top level domain is for enough people to
agree to use it!
We allow arbitrary decisions on who can "use" not own a domain name and
pay a tax for the privilege of doing so.
I predict a revolt in the next 10 years.
