It isn't possible to enter it exactly in many cases. For example,
some of our clients existing info shows an extension number for
their telephone.....I can't enter an extension in on the opensrs
system. Also, most of the clients had used the province spelled
out i.e. Ontario instead of ON Is the information supposed to
be identical? I also haven't entered the same format for the
telephone number (i.e. +1 (519) 455 8177 x322) I 'think' I
remember that field only accepted numbers, but no letters or
extended characters)
The only thing I really thought was important was the email address
for the admin person. I figured that CIRA would be sending out
the pre-registrations to the email address on file for the existing
contacts and getting verification before proceeding with the
pre-registration.
It would be great to get some clarification on this, but I bet you
guys are just as frustrated as we are.
Regards,
Heather

The cndnet whois output isn't completely standard so we fill in
what we
can. All you can do is fill in the blanks - but you must leave the
values
that were placed there as is. Once the registration is completed
you will
be able to alter the whois record to suit (where applicable).
