If the recent architectural problems have any indication of what November
1st will be like, CIRA will definately crash and burn.
This is complete nonsense -- immature, and irresponsible behavior on behalf
of CIRA's engineering staff.
Pre-Registration and Advance Registration should have been handled much
differently. Doing everything, and everyone "all at once" is a dumb mistake
on behalf of CIRA.
They pro-rated renewal dates to "avoid a renewal date crash" -- but what
have they just done with the November 1st deadline? Basically the same
thing! Ironic isn't it? :)
