I can't speak specifically to the Raq2, but I can tell you that the upgrade
is very straightforward. There is at least one new Perl module required
(XML::Parser), but otherwise you'll find that implementation of 2.2 is quite
a lot like earlier versions...which is amazing because I understand that the
internals changed dramatically.

The other big change is that traffic is exchanged with the production server
on port 55000 now instead of 50000 and 51000. As long as you don't have
firewall issues with the outbound ports, this is a trivial.

Subject: OpenSRS v.2.2:

Dear Fellows:

Im still running previous client on Cobalt Raq2. Would like to know if the
following:

1. Up to when would the prior client be working.

2. Any problems experienced during update to new client.

3. Is there a need to incorporate new Perl modules.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Stan Laeno
