Dear all,

I just wondered how many of you Open SRS RSPs support the
Tucows/Affilias bid for WEB TLD, where Tucows will be the registry
operator. I for one support Tucows/Affilias bid because I am sure if
Tucows wins WEB TLD, as an RSP I can get WEB names at $10 like com, net,
org.

Please refer to
http://www.icann.org/tlds/info1/description_of_tld_policies.htm to learn
more on this Tucows/Affilias bid.

Also, I hope ICANN Rejects Image Online Design's application for WEB.
Here the many reasons why :

 (a) IOD has attempted to destroy the internet by creating an
alternative root - just do an nslookup on NS.IODESIGN.COM "." zone and
you will be surprised that the name server uses alternative "open-rsc"
root, not the ICANN root. This is against ICANN policies.

 (b) IOD is INCOMPETENT Registry! They plan to use Windoze 2000 from
MicroShit to run the WEB TLD. Windoze has been known as an unstable,
insecure, and buggy OS fit only for low end tasks. For high end tasks
like root servers and TLD servers, I prefer Unix distro Solaris. Please
refer to http://www.icann.org/tlds/web1/application/d15.htm#d15-2-11 for
more information.

 (c) IOD refuses to allow other registrars like Tucows, ENOM into the
WEB namespace during the inniatial phases. They, IOD, want to monopolize
the WEB TLD during the inniatial phases to gain market advantage over
Tucows, ENOM. Refer to
http://www.icann.org/tlds/web1/application/e1-e32.htm#e4 for more
information.

 (d) IOD was founded by 2 con men, Christopher Ambler and John S.
Frangie, who are pals of another con man, William X
Walsh/userfriendly.com. These three con men founded the Open RSC to
destroy the stability of the internet, and to destroy ICANN. Ambler and
Frangie tried to trademark WEB and sue IAHC/CORE but IOD lost - William
X Walsh tried to trademark BOX but also lost. TLDs cannot be trademarked
and are public trust.

Finally, I appeal to all RSPs to give your support the Tucows/Affilias
bid for WEB. You can email [EMAIL PROTECTED] and tell them that to
accredit Affilias as the official WEB Registry. This is because
Tucows/Affilias application has stated its intention to charge $5.75 per
domain for registry fees + $0.20 per domain for ICANN fees, total
registry fee would be only $5.95. That's super cheap that NSI Registry's
$6! I am sure Tucows will continue to charge $10 even for WEB Second
Level Domains, just what they are doing now for com, net, org.

That's just my 2cents... I am waiting for other list readers to give
some of their comments or support on Tucows/Affilias bid.
