Yes, but your own whois server is the one forwarding to NSI.  Rather
than checking the OpenSRS database FIRST, it is checking the registry,
which has not yet deleted the domain name from the registry, since it
was only made available in the previous 24 hours, so then your whois
server forwards/proxies/caches the data from NSI, rather than ever
checking the local opensrs database and producing the correct local
result.

In this case, really, it is still the OpenSRS whois which is wrong.

For those of us used to this, this is not an issue.  We know that this
will happen with expired domains that are immediately registered.
But, as you can see from Marc's post, when users are used to their
registrations showing up in the OpenSRS whois instantly, it can create
some confusion because of this behavior.
