...waiting...waiting...
I walked a customer through a free .ca new reg. via the old registry earlier
this month. He wanted it right away - didn;t want to wait. He indicated to
me he would use our services later. I asked him to call us back once he
heard if he got the name or not.
A few days ago I emailed him as follow-up after checking the reg and seeing
that he did get the name - I was hoping to find out if/why he went
elsewhere. He called today saying that he was surprised that he rec'd a call
from Cira to re-register. He WAS NEVER TOLD by the registry in the first
place that he did get the name!
Now today is the last day. He wants to pay by check. If I hold off until I
receive his check, I lose b/c I will have to pay the late penalty. If I
process it through today and he never pays... I still lose. Partially my
fault, I guess, for not following up earlier this month so we'd have the
check by now. It's not his fault it went to the last minute - he didn't
know.
I sure wish they would hurry up and decide if they de-activate and charge
the late fee or if everyone gets a reprieve...it's almost end of the
business day here
