Ok, guys, before the doublespeek gets too deep.

There will be a maintenance window this Sunday November 5th
2000 from 12:01 AM EST until 4:00 AM EST. This maintenance
window will affect our production (live) systems, which will
be taken off line for the duration of the window.

How about:

The production (live) systems will be down from 12:01 AM EST until 4:00 AM
EST on Sunday November 5th 2000 for scheduled maintenance.
