I actually like the whois output from opensrs as it is... it keeps my fax
number out of the hands of junk faxers I get enough phone calls from places
I've never heard of asking to "Speak to whoever is in charge of purchasing"
or "The system administrator" or my personal favorite, the ones who call
and ask for me by name - bypassing the secretary - to try and sell me some
new fangled equipment. Since these calls have been increasing we use the
generic "Domain registration role account" in our registrations, now we get
postal mail addressed to "Mr. Role Account" and the occasional call looking
for "Mr. Role" which is good for a laugh :)

I've often been tempted to use the phone number to my modem pool... which
isn't violating any rules as it IS a valid phone number :)

I'd prefer if there was a way to turn off fields in a records output, that
way the registrar and the RSP have the info they need, and the rest of the
world has to go through official channels to get more than the email address.

i.e "for more information on this record contact XYZ RSP"

Would this be breaking any rules if OpenSRS implemented something like this?

then I could keep my customers information private if they ask me to, most
of them ask if there is a way to do this anyhow....
