Here's the short version - I'm still shocked!
July - domain expired
mid Sept - customer submits transfer request, but email is wrong so request
fails
- customer follows steps to modify email addy
early Oct - customer resubmits transfer request which fails #552
(not 60 days, non-payment, dispute, or deleted)
- customer sends check to NSI for this year, will add second
year with us later
Tonnight - I follow-up & find no results in Internic Whois
- Try registering and it succeeds! :o)
On the one hand, this is great as my customer gets her year cheaper than
with NSI. Other hand, not so great if the *did* already cash that check. She
will check w/ her bank tomorrow.
