Hi,

I have a customer who decided decided not to complete the confirmation
of a .CA registration. I emailed support and asked if this would simply
"time-out" if the confirmation was not done, and was told that yes, it
would eventually time-out. Now the customer has received an email which
states that there will be a penalty for not confirming:

>You have only 24 hours left, from the time stamp on this email, to
complete
>this process. A copy of the original instructions for completing the
>registration process is attached at the end of this email.
>If you do not complete this process in the time allocated your
registration
>request will be cancelled at the end of this period and your Registrar
will
>be charged a penalty.

What, exactly, is this "penalty" they speak of?
