Good point, well made... But you do have to purchase the domain for 2 years,
so �2.50 isn't actually an option.
Yup, it is cheaper than ICANN accreditation, but there is a fair bit of work
involved in becoming a Nominet member (getting your PGP set up and validated
etc, as well as learning to use the Automaton, and paying the membership
fees)

Yes - for two years. That's �2.50 per year according to my calculations.
And Nominet membership is nowhere near as involved or costly as ICANN
accreditation.
