I know that one or two might say that this is off topic but:

At the start of this year I had vaguely heard of domain registration and
registrars - I had purchased a name from MelbourneIT as a "just in case". I
then decided in February that it was time to set up a site and I went in
search of a project to do that with. Luckily I found OpenSRS. Jumped into
Perl (golly but I found that one less than intuitive) and then subscribed to
the mailing lists.

I have found that this, and the developer, list has been a fantastic group
of helpful people (with the rare case of family squabbles as well :-) ). I
have been helped enormously to bring my registration service forward. I have
had the good luck to be able to help one or two others as well - and that
also makes me feel sort of useful (makes a change from the views of my
wife).

So I'd just like to pass on my compliments of the season and wish all the
OpenSRS community a great and successful New Year.

Take Care
