Hi All, I've secured at $70 each 7-8 domains. All were registered in January 2000 and on-hold in April-May timeframe, just before NSI requied payement upfront. I think the 90 free theory is interesting, but these domains were from the era when everything was assumed to be 90-days free. In retrospect, maybe this SPECIFIC release is not such a bad thing. Every one of these domains were "sold" in January for $70. NSI APPEARS to be asking takers to assume the payment -- one that was never made by the original registrant -- in return for the domain. I say "appears" as Great Domains asks for a $70 "offer," but no where do I see a promise that they will accept it. I trust they will. In contrast, were NSI to hold an auction that would be unacceptable. NSI shouldn't get one penny over their inflated fees! Nor should they be allowed to sell off renewals for the $35 fee. The difference is that NSI was once promised the $70. Alternately, if the user fails to renew there is no promise for the $35 renewal fee and, therefore, NSI deserves NOTHING. SHIELDS UP! OK, I'm ready for your thoughtful response. Best, Loren "Terry Knab" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: One thing that just occurred to me on this... These domains could have been part of NSI's infamous '90 day free' promotion they had a while back. Although some of our clients got wise and transferred them prior to paying NSI a dime.
