I'm not sure myself.  AFAIK this should carry over comments/errors/etc
that were previously there.  If you "Search Reg System Orders" you can
edit/alter the notes field in that view.  Not sure what the "View Active
Domains" notes view is for.... *hrm...*

I'll follow up internally (or some other list member may be able to
elucidate)

The Registry adds one year when we transfer.  There is now "transfer and
renew" transaction at the Registry level, so we didn't add it to the
OpenSRS level when transfers were initially created.

Admittedly, this is something we 'could' build in as an automated switch -
but it's not an oft asked for feature (and there's bigger fish to fry).
You could, if you were savvy, create your own system to do this via the
API (*cough* - once transfer status's were available via the API *cough*)
- you'd just have to include some logic to ensure you have funds to renew
for (X) years once the transfer completed :)
