I have ploughed through the ICANN site and cant find any reference to the
mandate or procedure to crowbar it out of NetSol.
Has anyone tried to get it yet (if you are prepared to tell) and if you
have, can you tip us off to the best way to (am wearing a crazed grin and
spitting this bit through my grating teeth) get sense out of Network
Solutions?
I would seriously put up a bunch of dosh to share access to their whois db,
with other RSPs. Although I would like to check into the legality of a
consortium of RSPs doing this. Fight Fire with Fire.

ICANN mandate is the Registrar must make the information available, at a
MAXIMUM of $10,000 dollars. You might find some that are willing to part
with the information for next to nothing (or other business trading
things, be creative - send them nice t-shirts or other shwag). ;)
