Traceroutes to whois.opensrs.net were fine and I could connect to the
whois port, the problem was a time out waiting for a response from whois.
Everything seems to be resolved now. However I do believe I know what the
problem was. NSI Registry whois was down. OpenSRS whois is still trying
to retrieve information from the registry whois before checking its own
database. I know we have gone over this problem many times and I also
know someone from OpenSRS posted that logic was going to be changed. Do
we have a timeline on this?
