There's no particular reason to wait. The transfer will
add a year to the current _EXPIRATION_ date, so transferring
earlier doesn't mean that the domain expires sooner.

Subject: Real Reasons to switch from NSI on active domains.

Hello all.

I was wondering if you can give me your comments on the following.

I have clients that have less than a year with their domains and they
already pay for 2 years with NETSOL. I mentioned them that I have moved all
my personal domains and the ones that are close to expire to another and
better register and they have asked me to move their domains also because
they want to be on the same place where my domains are. I told them that I
do not see a "real" and strong reason to move them and that could be better
to wait 2 months or so before they expire .

My questions.

1) Am I wrong with that point of view? or it really exist another real
reasons to move from NSI?
2) If they move their domains, and let's say a domain was registered on May
26,2000 when the transfer is done and I activate the option of 1 year in
OPENSRS form of transfer, what will be the expiration of that domain (let's
say I move them today March,26) will be the one year that is pending of use
with NSI plus another year or what? (July 26,2003)?

Thanks in advance. If you want to answer me privately do it here please:
