Ross,

I replied to you off list on this, as I thought you send it as a private email.  But I told you in that email I would also reply on list if you had posted it to the list, so here it is.

The reply I sent you off list is:

You have always been a crybaby when you did not get the response you wished.

Asking who has reasonable rates is not the issue.

Posting lists of cheaper sellers to a Registrars discussion list is the issue.

However your definition of reasonable is not reasonable, unless you consider selling to you at a loss to be reasonable.

It would have been more honest to just ask if somebody was willing to renew a few names for you at their cost of the OpenSRS fee and their merchant account fee than to pretend you were offering to pay a reasonable price.  Had you done that, I would have done it for you.  For one or two names, not hundreds of names.  :)  Others have done this in the past as well for a name or two when somebody asked while they were qualifying to be an RSP.

You should expect fun to be poked at you when you do these things.  I promise you that I will poke fun at you on the list every time you do this.

If an individual sends you a private email asking for the information, you respond to the individual with the list of names.  You do not post it to OpenSRS discussion lists.  I assume you are just sending this to me as private email, I am responding the same way.  If it turns out you also posted it to the discussion list, then I will also post it to the discussion list.

You did this same thing last year, listing RSP rates, when you did not get your low ball price.

Frankly, I doubt that you received such a request.

We provide domain name registration free to our hosting clients, no charge.  That's zero dollars, we pay the fee ourselves if the client is willing to transfer it to the registrar that we use.  Which is not OpenSRS.

We still have clients using OpenSRS, which is why we monitor their lists.  They pay the fee as they do not use to transfer the domain name to our registrar.  Which is xxxx(removed as not being appropriate for this list), the amount our CPA tells us it takes to cover our costs of providing the service.

And I do not use my name because my opinions stated are my own, not those of my company.  I prefer to keep the two separate.

EasyGoing????
(Afraid to let use your name!)

Up yours! ! !   :(

When you're renewing hundreds of domain names, it would be
stupid not to ask who has reasonable rates (unless you have
more money than brains and are willing to throw away thousands
of dollars).

How much do you charge to renew a domain name???

The email I posted was requested by an individual on the list.
Also, it was posted to the bizops-list, not the discuss-list.  If
you don't like what's on the bizops-list - get off of the list.
