Kirk
In my discussions with NeuLevel, they have informed me that there they are
'working on a solution' (Read: they do not have a solution in place) I was
advised that the term 'lottery' will not be endorsed by the registry...so on
that note when marketing to your customers, try to emphasize the
pre-registration term although I do realize that it clearly sounds like a
lottery to the educated registrant.
Pricing will be provided to you at the latest Friday, May 11, 2001. There
have been some very recent changes in pricing for the IP Claim Service from
the registry which we are still evaluating. I want to be able to provide
our resellers with the complete pricing model for both .info and .biz.
Thanks
Rick

Subject: Lottery legalities... and other .biz stuff
Hey all,
With the .biz landrush... I've called this a lottery myself, as
have many others - though I'm not sure it really qualifies. We
will, however, be marketing it in a similar fashion to a lottery
- allowing customers to purchase multiple "tickets". This leads
to some legal concerns.
How are these legal issues going to be dealt with? Presumably,
we'll have some legal docs to point our customers too, making
it all legit? Or is Nuelevel just planning to make a killing
on the pre-regs without thinking through the legalities? This
is something that needs to be sorted out fairly soon.
And now another question. Pricing. When are we getting word
on this? I know you said we'd be getting regular updates, but
we need to plan ahead quite a bit ourselves, and need to know
this as soon as possible. The price to Tucows is already known,
yes? What will the price be to RSP's?
Regards,
Kirk
