Having played with Express for the last couple of weeks, here are a few requests for enhancements: 1. A domain-level administration interface. User-level account management has been built into Express; domain-level should be also. If an account has domain-level privileges, then display an additional link "Manage Domain" in the navigation bar. 2. Online Help. There's NOTHING, zip, zilch, nada, to help end-users understand what they are looking at in many of the screens. I realize that doing help in 20 languages would be a chore, but why not enable this for English at first, and perhaps some helpful customers can do the translation into their native language. There is also no help available anywhere in the Web or Java administration consoles. 3. Multiple signature files. This should be easy to implement. 4. Multiple outgoing addresses (selectable from a drop down list). At least allow editing of the the "From:" field on the Compose form. 5. A better means of customization. This means more templates and less encrypted ASP code. Encrypt the proprietary stuff (I'm guessing there's something of value here, or it wouldn't be encrypted), but leave the HTML exposed so that it can be modified. So long as the code is kept encrypted, it would be nice to have quite a few more configuration variables and settings. For example, font faces, table layout (columns to include and column order). 6. Better use of JavaScript to enhance the interface. For example, a collabsible list of existing folder beneath the "Folders" navigation link. 7. Domain specific customization. The simplest would be the capability of a system administrator to designate a directory on the server that would contain a custom set of graphics files specific to a domain. There should also be a web interface allowing a sysadmin (or domain admin) to set many of functional and visual configuration variables now contained in expresscfg.asp and in the single stylesheet. Many of these settings, such as allowing users to change passwords really need to be configurable on a domain by domain basis, not server-wide settings. Thanks, Jim
