I was wondering, we have a bunch of domains registered under one profile because many of our customers simply want us to manage their names so they don't have to be bothered etc, these names share a common profile. When the name is transferred away, is the password ever given out either to the customer or to the gaining registrar? Now before someone gets the wrong idea about this, we're not in the business of holding customers/domains hostage, our customers KNOW that we have 100% control over the names and they have no problem with it, we just don't want the password to the other domains leaked out by mistake as this would cause problems with our internal -> opensrs database. I suppose another question would be, when is the password to a domain name given out? I know that as a reseller I can email the password to the admin contact via the RWI, is there another way it can be disclosed short of the customer faxing opensrs asking for it? even then what steps are used to determine who gets this password, is it still restricted to the admin contact?
