Have you considered adding a form button (with hidden fields
containing the data) on the main menu template for the manage script
so that when they login, they only have to click that button to update
their nameservers?

It is trivial to do, and at least provides an interim solution.

I'd really like to see the ability to automatically insert a subuser
at registration time as one possible (perhaps better) solution to this
issue, but I find the above works for me.
