So to summarize this survey, Verisign wants to know if we want to move
forward in the testbed, even though the names that were being tested were
tested using an encoding which will not likely be used, and even if we enter
all these names into our DNS servers now, we will have to go back and change
them later as the prefix and encoding will likely change?
I would like to answer Question 1 as "Once the IETF has finalized a complete
IDN standard, however long that takes" but that would put is in a tough
position with our clients...
All of our inquiries have been about " A. Resolution timing." Customers
want to know when these names will work.
By the way, these names are no longer referred to as MLDs or Multilingual
Domain Names as they were when Verisign first made them available, they are
now IDNs or Internationalized Domain Names...
