I had problems using one of the digest modules... I think it was Digest-MD5-2.13 that did NOT work for me (RedHat 6.2, PERL 5.6, OpenSRS 2.33), but MD5-1.7 did. Actually it does matter if it is "use Digest::MD5" or "use MD5", IMO.   - Cs.
