Landrush - pre-reg tool WILL BE available on July 4.
Same queuing process will be used at Registry level - correct. Tucows will
accept maximum of one submission per reseller for a .info name (e.g.
sex.info) and will hold a randomized draw to determine the 'winning'
pre-registration submission for the Afilias queue.
Domains must be registered for a minimum 2 years = 2 x $10 = $20.

RSP Sunrise pre-reg service NOW - 8/27
Owners of any current (non-expired) trademark or service mark that have
national effect (including, for example, European Community Trademarks
(CTMs) but excluding United States state registrations) issued prior to
October 2, 2000 are eligible to register a domain name during the
Sunrise period. Domain name must be identical to the textual elements of
the trademark or service mark.
To meet these criteria, RSP's must simply provide the following extra
info:
The ASCII characters composing the trademark or service mark.
The date the trademark/service mark was issued.
The country where the trademark was registered.
The trademark/service mark number.
The Sunrise pre-reg process:
1. Resellers will submit pre-registrations for Sunrise
to Tucows.
2. Tucows will enter the submissions into our database
but WILL NOT place reseller funds on hold.
3. Tucows will hold the pre-registrations in our
database until the opening of the Afilias
registry on July 25, 2001.
4. Some time before the pre-registrations are sent
Tucows will check reseller account to ensure
sufficient funds exist.
5. If sufficient funds exist - Tucows will submit
pre-registrations to Afilias.
6. If sufficient funds do not exist - Tucows WILL
NOT submit pre-registrations to Afilias.
7. Tucows will re-submit pre-registrations once the
Reseller adds funds to their account. There is
no guarantee that they will receive the
pre-registration they submit.
Registration is $13 USD/domain/ year. However, Afilias requires the
minimum registration to be five years in the Sunrise period. Therefore
total registration fees are $65 USD.
