I agree it isn't clear exactly what they want. On the brighter side, I just
transferred a batch of domain names from register.com to OpenSRS. I
received one confirmation message from register.com for the whole batch,
typed "I authorize the transfer of these domain names." into their form, and
the transfer was completed the next day.
This was the fastest registrar transfer I have experienced to date - I
submitted the order on 6/18 at 11:58 AM, confirmed with OpenSRS at 12:03 AM,
received the register.com confirmation email on 6/19 at 1:04 AM, confirmed
some time around 6 AM, received a message from register.com on 6/19 at 12:21
PM saying the transfer had been acknowledged and the domain names released,
and according to the notes in the OpenSRS RWI, the transfer completed on
6/20 at 04:06. That's under 48 hours, start to finish.
I still don't like the fact that register.com and NSI are requiring
confirmations, especially when they are designed to try to stop the
transfer, but at least this one worked.
