I believe I read once that Tucows takes a whois snapshot from the
"losing" registrar in a transfer, for archival purposes. It would
indeed be handy if that information could be made available either to
the RSP or the admin contact, but it's far less important than, for
example, fixing the ugly text formatting on the transfer page. ;-)
