Can someone confirm that this .biz and .info code update is just for the
pre-reg stuff, or will we need this for when the registries actually go live
- or will there be another code update before then?

.info Client Code and LandRush Tools
-------------------
On July 5, 2001, an updated version of the client code will be made
available to the reseller channel. It will be similar to version
2.34 (unsupported launch). The updated version of the client code
will allow resellers to accept and submit pre-registrations to Tucows
for both the Sunrise AND Landrush periods.
Resellers will have the opportunity to select either "Pre-registration
for Sunrise" or "Pre-registration for Landrush" and submit these pre-
registrations to OpenSRS in individual or bulk file format.
Please note - this version of the client code WILL NOT be available
in RITE (Horizon) due to the compressed timelines associated with
Landrush. Tucows will make a registration tool available in RITE
(Horizon) on/around the week of September 12, 2001.
.biz Client Code and Registration Tools
-------------------
On July 5, 2001, OpenSRS will also be updating the client code to
include acceptance of .biz domain applications in bulk format. The
current method of domain application is only via the Reseller's
Interface (http://resellers.opensrs.net/). The inclusion of the .biz
client code is expected to significantly decrease the amount of
administrative work per reseller.
Please note - this version of the client code WILL NOT be available
in RITE (Horizon) due to the nature of the domain application tool.
Tucows will make the regular registration tool available in RITE
(Horizon) when the registry officially goes live in October 2001.
Please ensure that you are signed up to offer both .info and .biz on
the http://www.opensrs.org website - good luck selling!
.vc Update
-------------------
Approximately one month ago (via Reseller Update) we announced that
the channel would be updated when Tucows receives the necessary
information from ICANN regarding Tucows offering .vc domains.
We still are waiting on official confirmation from ICANN so that
Tucows can offer .vc names to its channel and thus have had no
relevant information to communicate.
When we receive pertinent news we will be sure to update all resellers.
Thank you for your continued patience in the .vc launch.
.tv $10 Promotion
-------------------
Resellers have been asking many questions about the .tv promotion,
which began on Tuesday July 3. The promotion is a partnership
between Tucows and The .tv Corporation. Resellers are charged
only $25/domain year for .tv registrations. This does not
include high profile registrations.
The offer is running until October 1, 2001. If you are not already
an existing OSRS .tv reseller, signup as a .tv reseller before
August 1, 2001 to take advantage of this limited time offer.
As a reminder, long-term tiered discounts for .tv names have already
ceased.
