There is a 60 day time lag between domains being registered and certificates
being issued - this is to prevent situations of someone registering a domain
and then not paying for it as Nominet invoice tag holders (ie OpenSRS) 30
days after registration.

The certificate goes to whoever is listed as the Admin Contact...

Subject: .uk "Registration Certificates"?

(I'm resending this since it appears the first copy never made it to the
 list (if it is a second copy, I apologize). My guess is the discuss list
 is now under the same poorly designed moderation system that simply throws
 messages away instead of letting the sender know the message was rejected.
 If you can't guess, no I don't like the policy.)

According to the "Terms and Conditions of the Nominet Registry":

    3. The Customer (or the transferee, as the case may be) will:
    ...
    3.3 sign and return the reply form attached to the Registration
    Certificate, issued by NOMINET UK under clause 4.2 below, confirming the
    Customer's acceptance of these terms and conditions;
    ...
    4. NOMINET UK will:
    ...
    4.2 (if the application is accepted) enter the Domain Name and other
    relevant details in the Register of .uk Domain Names as a pending
    registration, and, on receipt of the fee, issue a Registration
Certificate
    to the Customer; if the application is not accepted, NOMINET UK will
notify
    the Customer or the agent and return any payments received;

Has anyone actually received one of these registration certificates? I
registered two domains (retsiger.{co,org}.uk) back in September, 2000 and
still haven't received anything.

OpenSRS crew, will we ever receive them?
