It is possible to transfer names that are overdue for payment - but you need
to contact Nominet and get the invoice re-issued to the new tag holder.

Also, if a domain is very overdue the current tag holder can just "detag" it
- you then have to contact Nominet to get the name re-taged - and you will
need to pay any outstanding renewals

i have two names through netnames.  they've never sent me an invoice
and the names are about a year overdue.

i called them a while back, and they wanted 70 UK Pounds to renew 
each name.

i haven't made a decision how to proceed yet.  it would be so nice to
move them to my opensrs profile.
