Finally getting away from NetSol I hoped there might be a break in the spam
addressed to my contact role account. No such luck. Now an email address
I have used only to register domains with OpenSRS has been harvested; in
the first 30 days no less.
Has anyone else gotten this "modular-web.com" spam from a "Bill
Frederick"? Its typical dumb sales droid crap, but its sad that some
people in the trade have yet to catch a clue. Using spam to pitch hosting
to a hosting company? How intelligent! Next will come the wonderful
modular-web.com weight loss products, modular-web.com chain letters, and
the infamous "make 50 million over night with email with modular-web.com!"
pitches.
Just wanted to rant. Sad to see that we have yet to gain control over (or
any privacy in) the use of contact information in a registrar's
database. Its not OpenSRS's fault, but it still sucks.
