I have tried to get the Perl installation for OpenSRS to verify on TWO
different machines, .. now getting ready to try the third!
System #1 - Per. 5.005_03 will not install Storable. It insists that
'hexhash' via module MD5 cannot be located. I have BOTH Digest::MD5 (as
called for in the OpenSRS Install) *AND* the old MD5, but neither works.
The mailing list note suggested to reinstall CBC, but when I try to
reinstall CBC *now* - 'Can't locate object method "keysize" via package
"DES", even though Crypt::DES is installed, AND CBC installed a few days
ago before Storable blew up.
I surmized the module config on this machine is now hosed, so I tried a
virgin Perl 5.6.0 on another machine (nothing except Net::SSLeay).
System #2 - Perl 5.6.0
Installed Digest::MD5, Crypt::DES, then tried Crypt::CBC - 'Can't locate
object method "keysize" via package "DES". Crypt::DES installed just fine,
but CBC blows up!
Can anyone please answer either of the following questions?
A) Is there ANY way to get RID of a Perl module installed by mistake? There
appears to be no 'uninstall' or 'remove' target in the Makefile.PL.
B) Can ANYONE provide a known sequence of modules (for 5.6) that I can use
TODAY to get a THIRD machine working (now virgin with nothing except
Net::SSLeay)?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
TIA,
Lee
