DOT-BIZ REGISTRAR CHALLENGES LOTTERY CLAIMS
NeuLevel, the company that operates the new .biz Internet domain, has
sued to seek protection from charges that its pre-registration system
for coveted new domain names amounts to an illegal lottery.  The company
had recently received a threatening letter from Amazon.com, claiming
that NeuLevel was operating an illegal lottery for attractive .biz
Internet addresses.  Amazon's letter apparently helped cement NeuLevel's
decision to file suit.  Complaint at

WHILE DOT-INFO REGISTRAR TO CHALLENGE REGISTRATIONS
Afilias, the dot-info registrar, will announce today that it plans to
challenge questionable dot-info registrations that have been the source
of considerable criticism in recent days.  The registrar admits that
some registrations do not appear to be legitimate and that it will
challenge those registrations itself.
