digital certs

A client of mine is looking at getting an ssl cert through my opensrs setup, but he asked a question I wasn’t absolutely sure of:             “If I deply a ssl certificate issued through tucows, will it pop up with a message saying it isn’t a signed cert, or any other error?”   I’ve seen errors like that, like if you make your own cert, because it’s not signed.  Will all major browsers recognize the tucows digital certs?  I really don’t want errors for his shopping cart, it just looks bad
