Since it's a limited time offer, I think it's been hard for some
resellers to pass it on. Customers find TLD pricing confusing enough
without adding secial "first year discount" promotions; I just didn't
have the stomach to try explaining it ("it's x per year if you pay now,
but it'll be x+y to renew it next year -- unless you go for a multiple
year registration, in which case we give you our normal long-term
discount of z per year now and z+y per year when you renew...").
